We’re proud to have been shortlisted for the prestigious national awards for third year in a row
Primary Care Sheffield (PCS) is proud to have been shortlisted in the “Primary and Community Care Provider of the Year” category in this year’s Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards.
Following a thorough judging process, PCS was shortlisted ahead of the official awards ceremony to be held later this year (November 17th). Against tough competition from across the UK the judges believed that our work stood out as a ‘success story’ based on five criteria: ambition, outcomes, value, partnership working, and how the project might be “picked up” and replicated elsewhere.
The HSJ Awards are seen as the most prestigious national awards showcase for NHS services. Now in its 42nd year, the HSJ Awards shines a light on the outstanding efforts and achievements that individuals and teams across the sector deliver on a daily basis.
Primary Care Sheffield is a not-for-profit company set up and developed by general practice in Sheffield to provide support in delivering world class primary care. Our vision is to deliver world-class primary care which helps people live healthier and happier lives.

“It’s the third year in a row that the work of PCS has been recognised by the awards following the success in 2020 and 2021 of the Sevenhills PCN vulnerable person visiting service, the Sheffield Community COVID-19 Testing programme, and the Sheffield Primary and Community Mental Health Transformation Programme. This remarkable run shows the consistent hard work, dedication, and innovation of our amazing teams.”
