Following his appointment earlier this year Colin Beresford has now formally taken over the role of Primary Care Sheffield Board Chair. He succeeds John Boyington who has retired after nearly six years in the role.

On his appointment Colin Beresford said, “I am delighted to take up the post at such an important time for the future of Primary Care Sheffield. I know the organisation well, and have been hugely impressed by the impact it has had in supporting the delivery of world-class primary care in Sheffield.
“I’m looking forward to getting started, bringing my experience and expertise to the table to help the organisation deliver for people in Sheffield.”
Colin has been operating at Board level in the Sheffield City Region for 30 years, leading a wide range of private and public sector corporate organisations. He has extensive experience in organisational change and growth, as well as collaborative partnership working. Born and bred in Sheffield, he is passionate about the city and its people. As an Executive, he led the public private partnership that re-built all the schools in the city. Now focused exclusively on a non-Executive career he sees the role of PCS Chair as central to his ambition to improve the lives of the people that live here. Outside of work Colin is usually in the peak district on his bike, for fun or raising funds for charity.
