We are proud that one of our physio team, Lewis Nozedar, has published his first ever research paper.
The paper, “What is the prevalence of burnout amongst first contact physiotherapists working within primary care?” was co-written with Simon O’Shea and published in the Musculoskeletal Care Journal.
Lewis is part of our First Contact Physiotherapy team and we are pleased to be supporting him to undertake an MSc (Master of Sciences) degree.
hose thinking of publishing research absolutely go for it! It’s a hard, long, frustrating slog at times but the feeling at the end when it’s done is something else
Neil Maltby, Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at Primary Care Sheffield said, “This is a really important topic in First Contact Physiotherapy. This research is something to build on to help understand the sustainability of these roles as well as a reference point for further work.”
Lewis Nozedar said, “Massive thanks to my employer, Primary Care Sheffield for supporting my MSc and my line manager Neil Maltby. I couldn’t have done it without my co-author Simon O’Shea (legend) his help and expert guidance has been amazing along the way so thank you.”
