I Worked at British Coal for twenty years at several collieries around Barnsley, finally being made redundant at Grimethorpe Colliery in 1994.
Started working at Dovercourt Surgery as the Fundholding Manager and progressed to the Practice Business Manager, some thirty two years ago. During this time I have been involved in many local and national strategies especially related to Primary Care commissioning.
I was the lead manager for a national Total Purchasing Pilot, worked with other managers and Practices in a local PMS Consortium, a locally wide Practice Based Commissioning Consortium which year on year used to save £2mills on the commissioning budget, currently involved with other managers and Practices in a national Network Test Programme of twenty two Practices.
I am committed and passionate about Primary Care and have worked tirelessly to make changes and shift activity and funding into Sheffield Practices.
