The FRONTIER study is evaluating First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) in general practice for patients with musculoskeletal disorders.
The study involves the following research activities at each GP practice:

Providing patients presenting with MSK problems with a study information pack. For each approached patient, record basic demographic data. All subsequent patient contact managed by research team. Recruitment target is 14 patients.

Short telephone interviews with practice staff (ideally in a range of professional roles)

Collection of data about the practice via questionnaire, and collection of data from clinical data systems at practice level and patient level (e.g. for patients that consent to take part we will collect details relating to their MSK problem from their medical records).
