PCS|Research

A Primary Care Sheffield Future|Care Service

PCS is a research organisation. Audit, service evaluation, quality improvement and research are part of business as usual alongside our clinical services.

We undertake research in our 9 GP practices, and we support our 73 shareholding practices to develop research capacity. Our approach is equal, diverse and inclusive (EDI) pro-actively involving under-served groups who often don’t have the opportunity to contribute to research. Click here to learn more about the #BePartofResearch campaign.

We are a research delivery site for academic and commercial research organisations, and we collaborate with The University of Sheffield, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H), the Sheffield Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), and the Applied Research Collaborative (ARC) Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H).

Most of our clinical research delivery takes place at the PCS | Clinical Research Facility which is co-located in newly refurbished premises with PCS | North Darnall.

You can see examples of our work in the Case Studies section of this website, and on our Current Studies page. You can also see look-up Our Team and our Contact Details.
